Yahoo available on Motorola

Another step has been achieved on the road to fully mobile internet access with search engine Yahoo! joining forces with mobile technology giant Motorola.

An article in the Sydney Morning Herald last week announced that Yahoo!’s content will soon be available on Motorola’s Linux-based mobile devices. This includes iRadio, a new product that can play internet radio channels and the user’s personal digital music collection.

This move comes as part of a general push to make wireless internet available anywhere - without restricting users geographically to wherever their desktop computer may be.

It’s good news for search engine advertisers too, who will benefit by reaching their consumers in a variety of different contexts.
