AC Nielsen has announced that one-tenth of the world’s population make purchases online. That’s 627 million people who have ever shopped online, including 325 million in the last month.According to their “Global Online Shopping Habits” survey, Books are the most widely purchased item, followed by DVDs/Video/Games and Airline Tickets/Reservations at number three.

If you haven’t already heard, there’s a new black in online advertising: pay-per-call. For businesses that would prefer to have customers phone them directly, rather than visit their website, pay-per-call could be the solution.
