US web hosting company joins Google lawsuit
The pressure on search engines to provide data about click fraud has risen further with a large US-based web host joining on the class action lawsuit currently against Google in the United States District Court.
As posted on Web Guerilla’s blog a few days ago, there is currently so little data on real click fraud rates, almost no-one has any clue about the amount of money that is wasted daily on fraudulent clicks. There is a storm brewing about Google’s resistance to disclose this data.
Are we about to see this lack of transparency result in more lawsuits and Goevernment regulation? My bet is yes. Ambulance-chasing lawyers may like to watch this landscapre closely.
