Google to report Quarter 4 profit tomorrow

So Google reports its Quarter 4 profit tomorrow. For internet companies, that number can represent an important bellwether for their fortunes over the coming weeks. When Google ’s profit rises, many online companies’ expectation of ongoing internet growth also rises with it (but not obviously by the same exponential. I know I’m a little premature with a prediction (not normally, I swear) but I wanted to get in early. My call is for a 4.5 fold profit increase on a year earlier.

UPDATE (9:45am Feb 1): OK, so I was too conservative. The headline figure shows a seven-fold annual increase in Q4 profit.
