Google Print Ads update

After my previous post about Google’s experiment at auctioning newspaper print ads, Google has now officially begun open auctions to sell magazine / newspaper / journal print space. As always, the highest bidder wins.
Did Sergey or Larry Page start out working in a real estate office or something? Google is looking as much like an auction house these days as it does a search engine. Anyone care to comment?
