Revised trademark keyword bidding policy at Yahoo Search USA
March 21st, 2006

As reported by Clickz.com last week , Yahoo Search Marketing in the USA will soon change its trademark bidding rules to prevent advertisers from “keyword squatting” on their competitors’ brands (some people may know the practice better as “drafting” or “hijacking”. You can read the Clickz article about Yahoo’s trademark policy change here.
Of course, this policy change will apply to “squatting” practices mainly in the paid search listings, not the natural results (which are much harder to police).
